Karen Joy Pence, 68, of Elizabethtown, PA (formerly of Summerville, PA) died Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown, following a lengthy illness.

Born January 19, 1949 in Summerville, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Doris L. Johnson Bish.

Karen was a graduate of Brookville High School. 

She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing; she made draperies and did upholstery work out of her home for many years.

On October 2, 1976, she married Harold Wayne Pence at the Presbyterian Church in Brookville, PA; he survives and resides in Elizabethtown.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #230 of New Bethlehem, PA. 

There will be an Eastern Star service will be at 11:30 AM Sunday, January 29, 2017 at the funeral home.

Friends will be received on Sunday, January 29, 2017 from 12 PM to 2 PM at the Furlong Funeral Home, Gregory K. Furlong, 50 Broad Street, Summerville, PA.

Funeral services will follow at 2 PM at the funeral home.

Interment will be in the Vandervort Cemetery, Clover TWP, Jefferson County, PA.
