CORNPLANTER TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police are investigating the alleged sexual assault of an underage girl in Cornplanter Township, Venango County.

According to Trooper Schmader, police received a report on Jan. 27 around 9:00 p.m. indicating a 13-year-old Oil City girl was sexually assaulted.

Police have not disclosed any information about the suspect.

Due to the nature of the crime, no further information is being released at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
