17-year-old Girl Seriously Injured in Motorcycle Crash

AmbulanceFOREST COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) – According to Marienville-based State Police, a 17-year-old girl was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash yesterday on Route 899, Barnett Twp., Forest Co., Pa.

Police say the motorcycle crash occurred around 4:00 p.m. yesterday as the 17-year-old operator was southbound on SR 899 in Barnett Township, Forest County, Pa.

According to police, while negotiating a left curve in the road, the girl lost control of her 2009 Kawasaki motorcycle and slid into a guard rail on the west side of SR 899.

The girl was seriously injured; she was flown to Altoona Hospital.

Marienville Volunteer Fire Department, Sigel Volunteer Fire Department, Farmington Township Ambulance, and Clarion Hospital Ambulance assisted at the scene.
