  • During their now-completed eight-game winning streak, the Pittsburgh Penguins beat the Stanley Cup champion Washington Capitals and Western Conference favorite Winnipeg Jets.
  • Penn State men’s basketball (7-8, 0-4) struggled again offensively on Sunday night in a 71-52 blowout loss to No. 22 Wisconsin (11-4, 3-1) at the Bryce Jordan Center.
  • The Philadelphia Eagles needed help to get into the playoffs, and Chicago provided it.
  • The Los Angeles Chargers kept Lamar Jackson grounded, and by the time the rookie got the passing game going it was too late for the Baltimore Ravens.
  • Jeff Banister is returning to the Pittsburgh Pirates.
