OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — This year’s BridgeFest, hosted by the Oil City Main Street Program and the Oil City Arts Council, was deemed a success by organizers.

The Oil City Main Street Program was hosted on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on the Center Street Bridge.

“It was wonderful,” Oil City Main Street Manager Kathy Bailey told exploreVenango.com.

“We were blessed with wonderful weather, other than it being very humid while we were setting up. It was all clear skies, and we had a wonderful turnout with lots of happy children and families.”

According to Bailey, the food vendors were happy with their sales, and there was a good turnout for the Art Walk, as well.

“We’re very happy with the event. We realized a few things we can plan ahead for a little differently next year. We have a few electrical things to work out with vendors, but overall it went really smoothly.”

Bailey noted that the bubble station was an especially big hit, with both children and some adults.

“It’s always fun to play in bubbles!”
