$27k Worth of Steel Beams Stolen in Barkeyville

BARKEYVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — Franklin based state police are investigating the theft of $27,000 worth of steel beams stolen near the Freightliner parking lot in Barkeyville Borough, Venango County.

Police said the crime occurred as unknown actor(s) removed a 1999 Trailstar, flatbed trailer loaded with steel beams from a parking lot between March 30 and April 21, near Freightliner Truck Repair.

The trailer had been parked in the parking lot for numerous months and contained a full load of steel beams approximately 40-foot in length used for building construction, police said.

Police said actor(s) removed the loaded trailer by unknown means and fled in an unknown direction.
