Rodney Kay Morrison

Rodney Kay Morrison, 89, of Gresham Road, Titusville, passed away at his home on September 29, 2013 with his nephew and caregiver, Matthew Mays, at his side.

He was just a few days from his 90th birthday.

Born on October 1, 1923, in Big Bend PA, Rodney was the son of Ralph and Kay (Young) Morrison.

After finishing high school, he served his country in the United States Army. Rodney had a fascinating life in work.

He was a cowboy in Montana, a ranger in Texas and worked in the glass plant in Oil City. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family at his home, telling stories about his adventures and exploits.

In addition to his parents, Rodney was preceded in death by his brothers Derrick, Lane, and Buck; and his sisters, Nancy Schultz and Jean Russell.

Rodney is survived by his sister, Melissa Mays and her husband Chalmer of Knox, and numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be no public visitation, and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory in Clarion.
