OCPD: Oil City Man Flees Crime Scene; Arrested for Domestic Violence

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — On January 5, the Oil City Police Department responded to a residence on Jefferson Street for a domestic violence incident that occurred sometime between 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.

According to police, 22-year-old Alex Banford Langill, of Oil City, ran prior to police officers’ arrival.

A felony arrest warrant was issued, and he was arrested in the area of Cherry Tree and Route 8.

The Pennsylvania State Police; Sugar Creek Borough Police; Constable Lambert; and 911 Center staff all assisted in catching the fleeing felon.

He was charged with the following offenses:

-Aggravated Assault, Felony 1
-Harassment — Subject Other to Physical Contact, Summary Offense
-Unlawful Restraint/Serious Bodily Injury

Unable to post $350,000.00 bail, he is lodged in the Venango County jail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on January 15 in front of Magisterial District Judge Andrew F. Fish.

Other charges are pending.
