66-Year-Old Man Killed in ATV Accident in Irwin Township

ambulance IRWIN TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Franklin-based State Police say a 66-year-old Harrisville man was killed in an ATV accident that occurred on Slippery Rock Creek Road, at the intersection with a driveway, in Irwin Township, Venango County.

According to police, around 3:20 p.m. on July 11, 66-year-old Jack A. Cokain, of Harrisville, was traveling west on Slippery Rock Creek Road on a 4-wheeler and lost control of it while turning into a driveway at 275 Slippery Rock Creek Road.

Police say the 4-wheeler overturned, causing Cokain to fall off.

The vehicle then came to a rest in an upright position after it rolled on top of Cokain, pinning him underneath, according to police.

Superior Ambulance transported him to Grove City Hospital where he was subsequently pronounced dead at 4:24 p.m. on July 11, as a result of the crash, police say.
