OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) – Saturday, August 2 at 10 AM marks the day for the 6th annual Oil Region Strongest Man competition. The event will be held in Justus Park, Oil City, PA – rain or shine.
The Oil Region Strongest Man is a strongman competition. Strongman is a sport that tests many different strength aspects to find out who indeed is the strongest man. The contest consists of 5 different events that test the competitors grip strength, pressing strength, and back strength.
The year’s events included Max Axle Press, Axle Deadlift, Monster Dumbell Press, Yoke / Farmers Walk Medley, Keg Carry and load.
The competition continues until 3 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public.
