FOXBURG, Pa. (EYT) – A-C Valley School District has announced two upcoming kindergarten registration dates for the 2019-2020 school year.

The appointment times for Thursday, April 25, and Friday, April 26 are as follows:

Thursday, April 25

Richland Township Clarion/Venango — 8:30 a.m.
Scrubgrass Township – 9:15 a.m.
Perry Township – 1:00 p.m.
Foxburg/Hovey – 1:30 p.m.

Friday, April 26

Emlenton Borough – 8:30 a.m.
St. Petersburg Borough – 9:15 a.m.
City of Parker – 1:00 p.m.
Allegheny Township – 1:30 p.m.

To be eligible to attend Kindergarten, a student must be 5 years old before July 1, 2019. To enter first grade, a student must be 6.

A child must have the following immunizations before he/she can enter school:

• MEASLES-MUMPS-RUBELLA (MMR) – 2 shots with the first one on or after 12 months of age
• DIPTHERIA-TETANUS (DT) – 4 shots with the 4th or 5th one on or after the 4th birthday
• POLIO (OPV/IPV) – 4 doses, the last done on or after the 4th birthday and 6 months after the previous dose
• HEPATITIS B (HBV) — 3 shots appropriately spaced
• VARICELLA – 2 shots with the first one on or after 12 months of age or written date of chickenpox disease

If your child is eligible to enter school and does not have the necessary immunizations, please check with your family physician or the PA State Health Center to make arrangements to have these completed before the beginning of school.

Information packets have been mailed to all families that have pre-registered. Appointment times and all registration information are in the packets. If you did pre-register and did not receive a packet please call. If you have not yet filled out a pre-registration form, please call and do so. A packet will be mailed out to you.
