A-C Valley Students Qualify for PA State Leadership SkillsUSA Conference

HARMONY, Pa. – Two Clarion County Career Center students won gold medals at a recent District 10 SkillsUSA competition and now qualify for the PA Leadership Conference.

Seventeen students participated in the District 10 competitions held in Harmony on January 16 and New Castle on January 18.

Ian Jordan (A-C Valley) won first place in Diesel and Jonathan Sherwin (A-C Valley) won first place in Welding.

These two gold medal winners have now qualified to participate in the PA State Leadership SkillsUSA Conference being held in Hershey, Pa., in April.

Silver medalists (2nd place) were Lainey Stockdill-Police Science (Union) in First Aid/CPR; Jason Smith-Police Science (Redbank Valley) in Criminal Justice; and Olivia Milliron-Cosmetology (Union) along with her model, Torrie Sayers-Cosmetology (Redbank Valley) in Esthetics.

Bronze medalists (3rd place) was made up of the three-person Police Science team in the Crime Scene competition: Adam Stephens (Clarion-Limestone); Taylor King (Redbank Valley); and Bethany Shaffer (Redbank Valley).
