A-C Valley’s Irwin to Run Track at Allegheny Next Year

FOXBURG, Pa. (D9Sports) – A-C Valley senior Brooke Irwin recently announced her intentions to run track at Allegheny next year.

Irwin, the daughter of Dewey and Tracy Irwin, finished third in District 9 in the 400-meter dash last season in a time of 1:02.19 just missing qualifying for the state championships while also running a leg on the Lady Falcons fourth-place 4×400-meter relay team and taking 16th in the 100-meter dash. She was named first-team All-KSAC in the 400 and the 4×400 relay team was also a first-team KSAC relay.

A multiple-sport athlete, Irwin also played a key role on the A-C Valley girls’ basketball team that won the KSAC South title while finishing second in both the KSAC and District 9 Class 1A. The team became the first team in school history to win a PIAA playoff game this past season.
