CRANBERRY TWP., Pa. (EYT) — An Oil City man was arrested for assault and related charges regarding a domestic altercation that occurred early Saturday morning.

Franklin-based State Police responded to a private residence on Meddock Lane, in Cranberry Township, Venango County, to investigate an incident of domestic violence around 2:09 a.m. on Saturday, January 18.

A known 49-year-old male was arrested for Simple Assault and Harassment.

The victim is a 36-year-old Oil City woman.

The male was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Fish who set bail at $15,000.00 unsecured.

The name of the accused was not released.
