BARKEYVILLE BORO, Pa. — According to Franklin-based State Police, around 8:10 a.m. on May 29, a two-vehicle accident occurred on Clintonville Road (State Route 308), at its intersection with Barkeyville Road (State Route 8), in Barkeyville Boro, Venango County.

Police say 82-year-old Jeanne H. Hindman, of Emlenton, and 44-year-old David C. Millard, of Mercer, were involved in the collision.

The crash occurred as a 2007 Ford Focus, driven by Hindman, was traveling west on SR 208 and stopped at the intersection of Rt. 8. Millard was traveling south on SR 8 in a 2000 Ford F-350 pickup and Hindman failed to yield the right of way and pulled in front of Millard, according to police.

Millard’s pickup struck the right rear of Hindman’s car with its front, police say.

The car spun in a counterclockwise manner coming to rest facing east on the southbound lane of SR 8.

The pickup continued south approximately 43′ coming to rest on the west berm of SR 8.

Both drivers were using seat belts, and no injuries were reported.

Hindman was charged with a traffic citation.
