BUTLER COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) — According to sources, a New Jersey man, who has been accused of murdering his father and stepmother, is appearing in court today.
Sources say 40-year-old Colin William Abbott — accused of killing 65-year-old Kenneth Abbott and 55-year-old Celeste Abbott at their Brady Township, Butler County home last July — will appear in Butler County court today.
Abbott is charged with criminal homicide and abuse of a corpse; he has been accused of killing the couple and burning and scattering their remains on the the property
Abbott told inquiring family members that the couple died in a fiery car crash.
Abbott appears before Judge William Shaffer in reference to an open records request filed by his attorney.
The Commonwealth opposes this request.
