Alexis Nicole “Lexi” Park of Brookville ascended into heaven to be healed by the hands of God on August 28, 2012. She passed away as a result of chronic illnesses she’s experienced over the past year, and was currently being treated at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. Lexi was 19 years old.

Born on 4 January, 1993, Lexi was the daughter of James R. and Joyce D. (Johnston) Park and sister of Stacy, Andy, Josh, and Ali Park. She graduated from Clarion-Limestone High School earlier this year. Lexi enjoyed time with family and friends, arts and crafts, fishing, camp fires, swimming, video games, wildlife, and helping others. She also enjoyed watching John Wayne in westerns, The Undertaker wrestler, scary movies, and television shows like American Hoggers, Boy Meets World, The Dukes of Hazard, and Little House on the Prairie. Every Sunday of football season, Lexi rooted for her Pittsburgh Steelers, and was a huge fan of “The Bus,” Polomalu, “Big Ben,” and Heinz Ward.

Despite all of the challenges she faced in her life, Lexi never complained and always cared more about others than herself. She gave amazing hugs and love to everyone, and served as a true Angel on earth. Her family isn’t sure how they’re going to function without her physical presence, but they are happy that she can finally run and play in heaven with the rest of her family and friends that have gone before her. They will cherish all the memories they’ve made with her, and remember her always until meeting with her again.

In addition to her parents and siblings, Lexi is survived by her grandmother Nancy I. Johnston of Brookville, and aunts and uncles: Bev Park, Cindy Welsh, Melany and Alan Rhoades, and Chris and Pat Hughes. Lexi served as a loving aunt to Keenan and Liadan Conner-Park of Dubois, and sister-in-law to Kelly Park and Erin Conner-Park.

She reunited with her three grandparents: George A. and Rheba M. Park, and Basil L. Johnston; as well as her Aunt Joanne and Uncle Ed Dickey, and nephew Tiernan J. Park who have all ascended into heaven before her.

Arrangements include a viewing from 1PM to 9PM Friday at McKinney Funeral Home in Brookville, as well as a funeral on Saturday at 10AM inside of the EUM Church in Brookville by Reverend Timothy McConville.
The Park family kindly requests that all memorial contributions in memory of Lexi be made to the Evangelical United Methodist Church, 30 South White Street, Brookville, PA 15825.
