Charles Zilhaver served our country in the United States Air Force.

Name: Charles C. Zilhaver

Born: November 21, 1931

Died: November 10, 2018

Hometown: Franklin, PA

Branch: United States Air Force

After graduating from Franklin High School and attending California State Teachers College, Charles Zilhaver enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1951 during the Korean War Era.

He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal before being Honorably Discharged as a Staff Sergeant in 1955.

Funeral services for Charles were held at the Polk United Methodist Church with Rev. Drew Bell officiating.

He was accorded with military honors by the V.E.T.S. Honor Guard.

Interment took place at the Old Sandy Cemetery.
