Lewis Griffin served our country in the United States Army during World War II.

Name: Lewis C. Griffin

Born: December 27, 1921

Died: June 8, 2019

Hometown: Franklin, PA

Branch: United States Army

Lewis proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during World War II.

He was a member of the 565th Motor Ambulance Company and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. On December 21, 1945, he was Honorably Discharged as a Private First Class and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal w/5 Bronze Stars, and the World War II Victory Medal.

Military Honors were accorded by the V.E.T.S. Honor Guard following his funeral service at Gardinier Funeral Home.

Lewis was laid to rest next to his wife at Lupher Chapel Cemetery.
