Rank: 1st Infantry Division

Ross served in the 1st Infantry Division of the United States Army, earning an Army of Occupation Medal and a World War II Victory Medal.

His remains went unclaimed and were in storage until being recently released to the Missing In America Project.

Through that project, he is currently slated to be buried in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies on August 21 with full military honors, with an open to the public ceremony in Franklin’s Bandstand Park at 7:00 p.m. on August 20.
