Amari McVayAmari DaVaughn McVay joined God’s Angels on Friday, March 10, 2017.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a memorial service for Amari DaVaughn McVay at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Seneca United Methodist Church, 196 East State Road, Seneca, with the Rev. William E. Hastings, church pastor, officiating.

He was born in Seneca on February 3, 2017 to Jenna McVay of Cranberry.

While his time here on earth was much too short, he brought joy and happiness to everyone who met him.

He is survived by his maternal grandparents, John McVay of Cranberry and Brenda McVay of Oil City.

Also surviving are his uncles, Jessey McVay and Joel Shreffler of Cranberry; his great-grandfather, Donald Shreffler of Oil City; and his godmother and wonderful cousin, Gale Hunsberger of Cranberry.

Many aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandmothers, Violet Brown and Daisy “Becky” McVay; great-grandfather, Clarence McVay; and a cousin, Jered Shreffler.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.

The Hile-Best Funeral Home in Seneca is completing funeral arrangements, and contributions for related expenses may be sent to P.O. Box 245, Seneca, PA 16346.
