Anella J AndresAnella J. “Ann” Andres, 99, of Greenville, NC and formerly of Oil City died March 20, 2017 in Greenville.

Born August 2, 1917 in Campbell, OH., she was the daughter of the late Cornelius & Frances Telega Bogan.

Ann was married June 23, 1935, at the Assumption B.V.M. Church to John J. Andres and he preceded her in death on April 7, 2005.

Mrs. Andres had worked for S.S.Kresge Co., at the family owned business Andres Bakery and had also sold Avon and World Book Encyclopedia.

Ann had written her own autobiography.

She began in 1950 as a volunteer for the National Foundation of the March of Dimes, prompted by the polio epidemic.

She then worked for the National Foundation for over twenty five years, where she was appointed director of Volunteers and fundraising activities for Northwestern Pennsylvania.

Ann was a member of St. Stephen’s Church and was past president of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court St. Rita.

She is survived by a daughter, Marianne Andres of Greenville, NC and a grandson, Anthony “Tony” Andres & his wife Stacey and their daughter Cara of Seneca.

She was preceded in death by a son Patrick J. Andres.

The last surviving member of her immediate family, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Edward, Charles and, Tod Bogan and three sisters, Mary Stoica, Helen Travis, and Bernice Piendel.

Friends will be received from 4-7 P.M. Friday_in the Reinsel Funeral Home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:30 P.M. Saturday in St. Stephen’s Church, with Fr. John Miler presiding.

Entombment will follow in The Bishop McManaman Memorial Mausoleum.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
