Ann Marie HartleAnn Marie (Moffitt) Hartle, 54, of Murfreesboro, TN and formerly of Franklin died peacefully at her home surrounded her loving family on Wednesday, December 28, 2016.

Ann was brave and courageous throughout her five-year battle against ovarian cancer. Her faith never wavered and she was a shining light to everyone that she met.

Ann was born on September 13, 1962 in Franklin, the daughter of William C. Moffitt and the late Barbara Porter Moffitt.

She graduated from Franklin High School in 1980 and Grove City College in 1984. She maintained many friendships throughout her life with the special women that she met in school.

She was married to Robert A. Hartle on September 28, 1996 who survives.

Ann worked in finance for Nissan North America in Smyrna, TN until her illness no longer made working possible. She had many loving friends at Nissan who cared deeply for her and continued to send her cards and encouragement every week

Prior to working for Nissan, Ann worked for Child Care Information Services in Franklin, PA until relocating with her husband to Tennessee in 2005.

Ann deeply loved and trusted in the Lord and her faith and family were the focus of her life. She attended World Outreach Church in Murfreesboro, TN and volunteered in children’s ministries. Ann had a special appreciation for all of God’s creations, especially the outdoors and gardening. She also enjoyed camping, water activities, hikes, and walks. She had many close and supportive friends in Murfreesboro, especially PJ Oleham and Jean Heid.

Ann deeply loved her daughter, Rochelle Marie (Ritchey) Kennedy, also of Murfreesboro and husband Micah Brooks Kennedy. Ann was “Gigi” to Liam Brooks 4, Aisley Marie 2, and JovieAnna Kennedy 5-months, who brightened even the most difficult days.

Ann is also survived by her husband Robert A. Hartle; her father and mother, William and Marilyn Moffitt of Franklin, PA; her siblings Michael Moffitt (Patty) of Eagle River, AK; Linda Macintosh (John) of Oil City, PA; Steven Moffitt (Melinda) of Fredericksburg, OH; Mark Guth (Tunde) of Polk, PA; Janet Crosier (Scott) of Kailua-Kona, HI; Marina Saucedo (Carlos) of San Antonio, TX; and Doug Guth (Gretchen) of Franklin. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nephews, and cousins whom she dearly loved.

Ann was preceded in death by her mother Barbara Moffitt; granddaughter Jamie; grandparents Forrest and Ruth Moorhead and Bruce and Dorothy Campbell Moffitt; and many of her aunts and uncles.

Friends may call Tuesday 6-8 PM in the Timothy E. Hartle Funeral Home, 1328 Elk Street, Franklin.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11 AM in the Chapel of Franklin Cemetery (Everyone please meet at the cemetery chapel).
