Applefest Continues Today in Franklin

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — Applefest continues today in Franklin and runs through Sunday.

Saturday, October 3, kicks off with the Applefest 5K at 10:00 a.m., with registration at the YMCA along West Park and Otter Streets.

Highlighting the festivities are a number of musical acts by local and regional bands, and a few special performances.

The Blue River Band will perform at the Quality Inn and Conference Center along Liberty Street from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 3. A performance will follow in Bandstand Park from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 4.

Other musical guests and performers include the Franklin High School Madrigal, Samantha Sears, The Banned, Old Guys With Guitars, Venango Brigade, Mostly Brass, Carolyn Longo, the Franklin High School Marching Band, Lamberton Road, Hunter and Hagan Cook, Studio 22 Dancers, and RML Jazz.

A favorite among event-goers continues to be the antique and classic car cruise, set for Sunday, October 4, from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. along Liberty and 12th Streets.

Arts and crafts will be on sale from over 300 vendors, as well as a Farmers’ Market and plenty of food.
