PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (EYT) – A Pittsburgh attorney with local roots is being recognized by a Pennsylvania law journal for her contribution as a law mentor.

Family Law Attorney Dorothy Wolbert, a Lucinda native and graduate of Venango Catholic High School, is being awarded the 2018 Best Law Firm Mentor by the Pennsylvania law journal The Legal Intelligencer.

She will be honored at an awards ceremony on June 27 in Philadelphia, Pa.

Wolbert attended Gannon University and graduated, summa cum laude, with a B.S. in Political Science in 2006. She continued her studies at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law at Cleveland State University, where she graduated magna cum laude in 2009. In 2014, she completed the National Institute of Trial Advocacy’s comprehensive trial program for family law matters, a program that provides attorneys with advanced and intensive training in family law.

Wolbert is currently the Co-Chair of the Family Law practice at Burns White Attorneys at Law, in Pittsburgh. She was nominated for her ability to provide valuable knowledge to younger attorneys.

Before joining Burns White, Wolbert worked for a national domestic litigation firm, where she was named the firm’s Overall Top Attorney and Top Performer in her Region in 2013. She also worked at the Family Legal Center and held a Judicial Clerkship position at the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas, Family Division, in Indiana County.
