Aimee Rheaume, of Worthville, will be appearing on the History Channel show “Truck Night in America” on Thursday, February 28, where she’ll be pitting her 1984 Chevy mud truck against others from across the nation.

“Truck Night in America” is a competition show that features truck owners from all over the country competing in multiple challenges testing the speed, strength, and handling of their vehicles. The competitors must also demonstrate their craftsmanship by re-engineering their trucks between challenges, looking to make improvements for the next round. Expert coaches “Pistol” Pete Sohren, Glen Plake, Abe Wine, and Rob “Bender” Park offer the competitors their professional perspectives on both strategy and performance.

Rheaume isn’t necessarily who most people envision taking on the world of mudbogging. She makes her living as a hairdresser, working both at her own business, “Aimee’s Hair Designs” in Worthville, as well as at “Teased Too” salon in Brookville.

While she may be well known locally for her skills in the salon, it’s her skills behind the wheel of her “lightened up and skinned” 1984 Chevy that she will be showcasing for the world.

“The reason I wanted to do Truck Night In America was to see if my truck was capable of more than going straight through a deep mud pit. That’s what it was built for and all I had ever done,” Rheaume told Truck Night In America Unofficial.

Rheaume has been mudbogging in Pennsylvania and Ohio for the last five years, but an event like Truck Night In America will pit her against a wider range of competitors, with the possibility of taking home the $10,000.00 prize.

The episode “Chill. Out.” airs at 10:05 p.m. on Thursday, February 28, on the History Channel.
