Arlene HarringtonArlene Grace Cauvel Harrington, 93 of Montrose, PA formerly of Franklin passed away at Gracious Living Center, Montrose early Monday morning May 8, 2017.

Born January 7, 1924 in Wayne Twp., Crawford County, she was the daughter of the late Calvin and Grace Heffern Cauvel.

Arlene worked many years at the former CPT.

She lived in Franklin from 1964-2015 and her life was centered on her family, church and church family. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Franklin where her late husband served as Pastor for many years. She enjoyed reading her “Lunch Bunch” group and most of all playing shuffle board which she had become quite good at.

Arlene spent the last 29 winters in Florida and assisted a church there with arranging luncheons and activities.

On October 10, 1942 she married Rev. John A. Harrington and he preceded her in death on June 22, 1992.

Surviving is a daughter; Trudy Berg and her husband Carlyle; a sister, Fran Cauvel Rice; six grandchildren, Carlene Berg and Timothy Berg, Tom Harrington and his wife Candice, Amy Harrington, Jennifer Young and Lori Harrington and her partner Jordan Walker; six great-grandchildren, Amanda Griffiths and her husband Brandon Griffiths, Rebecca Young, Lucas Budzinski, Zachary Young, Bryce Karns, Caden Harrington, and Brock Karns; five great-great grandchildren, keira Griffiths, Trevor Griffiths, Kyah Budzinski, Adalynn Gutowski, and Bentley Youngkin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son, Thomas R. Harrington.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 W. Park St. Franklin.

Family and friends are welcome from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. Friday at the First Baptist Church of Franklin, 1041 Liberty St. Franklin, PA 16323.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. On Friday on in the church with Rev. Randy Powell, Church Pastor, officiating.

A luncheon will be held at the church following the funeral service.

Interment will be at Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church 1041 Liberty St. Franklin, PA 16323.
