ArtWalk on the Pipeline Set for Saturday

| May 17, 2019

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) – ArtWalk on the Pipeline is an inclusive art show located in Pipeline Alley and at the National Transit Building at 206 Seneca Street scheduled to be held on Saturday, May 18.

The show concept has been designed to increase exposure for events in the National Transit Building, and to bring artists and the community together in a fun way. ArtWalk is being held alongside the opening weekend of the Summer 3-D Exhibit: Form Furniture Frolic, at Graffiti Gallery.

In addition to a diverse array of local artists, the event includes live music throughout the day, artist demonstrations at the Transit Fine Arts Gallery, an open house at Oil Creek Earthworks Pottery Studio & Creative Workshop, and Reiki demonstrations at Laughing Moon Sidhe, all located in the National Transit Building and Annex. In addition, information will be available on upcoming education opportunities through the Oil Valley Center for the Arts.

Artists scheduled to exhibit at ArtWalk on the Pipeline include:

  • Red Hearts Tie Dye
  • WhistleFish Creations
  • Big Pond Comics
  • CJ Hurley Century Arts
  • Lineman’s Porcelain Memories
  • Phoenix Studio
  • Black Cat Oddities
  • Arnita Force
  • Jess Konieczny

“I have often felt that art is sometimes perceived as unattainable,” remarked show coordinator Heidi Krug-Whistle. “Art is for everyone, and especially in a community like ours, we should reach out to make sure that everybody is included.”

ArtWalk on the Pipeline is scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 18. There is no cost to attend, and this is an all-ages event. For more information, please contact Stew Armstrong at ARTS Oil City, 814-677-3152 x104, or sarmstrong@oilregion.org.
