CRANBERRY TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A Franklin woman thought someone stole money from her at an ATM, but police found otherwise.

According to Franklin-based State Police, a known 37-year-old woman began a withdrawal transaction from Sheetz Sunday afternoon in Cranberry Township.

As the money was about to be dispensed, she walked away to get a drink. When she returned, the money was gone.

When police investigated, they discovered the ATM machine had sucked the money back into the machine.

The case has been closed.
