Attempted Homicide Charges Against Clarion County Teen Withdrawn

BUTLER CO., Pa. (EYT) — A Clarion County teen has been released after attempted homicide charges filed against him in Butler County were withdrawn.

Court documents indicate one first-degree felony count of attempted homicide and one second-degree felony count of aggravated assault filed against 19-year-old Henry Leroy, of East Brady, were withdrawn on Tuesday, October 22.

Leroy, along with 19-year-old Adam Rodgers, of Chicora, and 17-year-old Tyler Martin, of Slippery Rock, was charged in connection this a shooting that occurred Cherry Township, Butler County around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 17.

According to the Butler Eagle, Butler County assistant district attorney Russ Karl said the charges were withdrawn Tuesday “for further investigation,” and would not elaborate further.

Leroy was released from the Butler County Jail on Tuesday afternoon.

Rodgers and Martin both remain lodged in the Butler County Jail, with Rodgers’ bail set at $500,000.00, and Martin’s set at $100,000.00.

According to police, the victim of the incident, a 19-year-old Boyers man, was not injured.

Police were initially called to the scene near the victim’s home, located in the 300 block of New Hope Road in Cherry Township, for a report of a shooting. It was reported that multiple shots were fired at the victim.

Adam Rodgers was identified as the shooter, according to police. The three teens then fled in a Dodge Caravan, with Tyler Martin driving.

No other details of the incident have been released at this time.
