Barbara Ann Yute, 57, of Big Bend Rd., Emlenton, passed away Thursday evening, October 23, 2014, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Barb was born in Harmar Township, Allegheny County, on December 2, 1956. She was a graduate of the Penn-Foster High School in Scranton and had been a long time employee of the Emlenton IGA. Barb enjoyed crocheting, knitting, flower gardening, and collecting hummingbirds. She was well known for being a hard worker and devoted homemaker. Barb cherished her role as a mother and grandmother “Ma”.

Barbara is survived by her long-time companion, Walter Simpson; three sons, Terry L. Yute Jr. and his wife, Theresea, Shaun P. Yute and his wife, Abir, and Keith H. Yute and his wife, Tiffany; three grandchildren, Amir, Keith H. Jr., and Aubree, and two brothers, Bobbie Vallies and Ronald Vallies, all of Emlenton.

Barb was preceded in death by her grandson, Thomas.

Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home, Inc., 1204 Kerr Ave., Emlenton, from Noon – 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 25.. A funeral service will follow from the funeral home at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Thomas Kelley, officiating. Interment will be in Big Bend Cemetery, Emlenton.
