Barbara J. Wolfe, 89, of Oak Ridge, died Sunday morning, May 28, 2017 at her home following an extended illness.

Born on December 11, 1927 in New Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late James R. and Ruth (Henry) Males. She was married on May 12, 1947 to Raymond M. Wolfe.

She worked as a nurse’s aide for the Pennsylvania Memorial Home in Brookville. She enjoyed being with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond M. Wolfe of Oak Ridge, a son, David M. Wolfe and his wife, Tammy of Mayport, a daughter, Kathy Lemmon and her husband, Don of Mosier, Oregon, five grandchildren, Deidre, Deanna, Danielle, Carrie, and Megan, ten great grandchildren, a sister, Phyllis Jewert of Blairsville, and two brothers, Julian Males and his wife, Lee of New Bethlehem and Al Males and is wife, Delores of Clarion.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Magness, and two brothers, Jim Males and Cal Males.

Barbara’s wish was to be cremated. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Interment will be in the Oakland Cemetery in Distant.
