Barbara Jean Deeter, 74, of Malvern, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2013 peacefully at her home.

Barb was born in Oil City, PA on July 16, 1938, a daughter of the late Rose (Jimmie) and Marciano Duarte.

Barb is survived by her husband, Ronald Deeter; her daughter, Patricia Drumm and grandchildren Benjamin and Emily Drumm, of Dublin, OH; her son, Douglas Deeter, of Minerva; and her sister, Theresa (Phillip) Johnson, of Franklin, PA.

She is preceded in death by sisters Rose Marie Skokowski and Nicolene Eheols.

Barb was a fighter and to everyone who knew her, an inspiration. Barb was a very warm and compassionate person always reaching out to her friends and family especially holding a special spot in her heart for her grandkids. She enjoyed boating, decorating and was a motor racing enthusiast. She was a fearless driver of her off road Jeep Wrangler. Last but not least, she was passionate about her beloved Lake Mohawk.

She was a member of Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church.

She was Vice President of the family business, Technical Service and Supply, Inc and had worked at GBS prior.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Malvern at 11:00am on Saturday, January 12, 2013 with Celebrant Father Vic Cinson. Calling hours will be Friday 2-4pm and 7-9 pm at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church. A prayer service will be held at 8:45 pm. Burial will be in Saint Francis Xavier Cemetery.
