Barbara Kay Martz, 74, of Adrian, died unexpectedly, at her home, on Thursday, December 6, 2018.

She was born on October 19, 1944, in Hawthorn, a daughter of the late Malvin John and Bertha Lenora (Keller) Martz.

She worked as a high lift operator for the Moonlight Mushroom Mines.

She is survived by two grandsons, Kurtis Allen Martz Grantz and Kevin Allen Christy Grantz, a sister, Joanne G. Crytzer and her husband Ronald E. of Smicksburg, two brothers, Raymond Martz and his wife Doris of Hawthorn and Joseph Martz and his wife Kathy of Garretts Run.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Allen Martz, three sisters, Betty Martz, Geraldine Silverman, and Kathleen Kirkpatrick, and six brothers, Charles, Franklin, William, Melvin “Mike”, Morris, and Robert Martz, Sr.

There will be a private funeral service held at the family’s convenience and burial will be in the Coolspring Cemetery, Jefferson County. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held in the Spring for her family and friends.
