Behind Stahl, Petro Oil City Claims District 10, Region 7 Title with Win at Fort LeBoeuf

WATERFORD, Pa. (EYT) – Behind big games from Holden Stahl and Noah Petro, Oil City claimed the District 10, Region 7 title with a 41-13 win at Fort LeBouef Friday night.

Stahl ran for a pair of touchdowns and threw for a third, while Petro found the end zone twice on the ground for the Oilers (8-0 overall, 6-0 D10, R7).

Going 3-for-3 through the air for 151 yards, Stahl connected with Brayden Crocker for a school-record 90-yard touchdown pass and added seven carries for 39 yards and two scores.

Petro, meanwhile, ran 19 times for 175 yards and two touchdowns, as Oil City built a 28-0 lead after three quarters.

Zac Kiefer also scored on the ground for the Oilers.

Ben Turi paced Fort LeBouef (4-4, 4-2) with 11 carries for 93 yards.

GENERAL MCLANE 35, FRANKLIN 17

EDINBORO, Pa. – Jaxon Scrutchins scored three times to lead General McLane to a 35-17 win over shorthanded Franklin.

Scrutchins ran six times for 94 yards and the three scores for the Lancers (2-6 overall, 2-4 D10, R7), while Jared Iavarone-Campbell added six carries for 90 yards and a touchdown and Matt Lehan threw a 45-yard touchdown pass to Ben Lipinski.

Franklin (2-6, 1-4), playing for the first time without senior star quarterback Ian Haynes who is out for the year with a shoulder injury, did get a touchdown pass from Haynes’ replacement, Cade Adams, who was 10 of 23 for 104 yards, the score and two interceptions.

The touchdown pass went to Dalton Buckley, who caught six passes for 84 yards.

Adams also scored on the ground and ran eight times for 36 yards with Raejon King leading the Knights with 56 yards rushing on 15 carries.
