SANDY LAKE, Pa. (EYT) — A benefit dinner is being held Saturday, June 3, at the Odd Fellows Hall in Sandy Lake for a family who lost their home and possessions in a fire on Easter Sunday.

The family — Joey Beach, his fiancee, Sara Skiba, and their three daughters, ages 5, 10 and 13 — lost everything in the blaze at their home on Georgetown Road.

Beach’s mother, Audrey, detailed the fundraiser.

“The spaghetti dinner will include meatballs, salad, and bread. There will also be a Chinese auction and a baked good sale,” Audrey said. “The money raised will help them get back on their feet.”

The baked goods will include cakes, cookies and pies while a dozen different baskets will be auctioned off. The baskets feature miscellaneous items, including lottery tickets, kids’ games, hair and shower products, car products, fishing items and more.

Tickets are 10 for $5 and the drawing will be at 7 p.m. Participants do not need to be present to win.

The dinner costs $8 for adults and $5 for kids. Children under 3 get in for free.

The family is also accepting donations of money and gift cards.

Clothing donations are not needed at this time.

“We’ve had a lot of nice donations of clothes, but they are without almost everything else,” Audrey said. “We are hoping to raise enough money for them to be able to buy a trailer for the site.”

Currently, the family of five is living with Audrey and her husband.
