Bicycle Safety Event Held at Evergreen Arbors

| June 19, 2021

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) – A special bicycle safety event was held at Evergreen Arbors in Franklin on June 11.

The event was held with the help of RAACA (Riders Advocating Against Child Abuse) of Venango County and Venango County Sheriff’s Department and was planned to help educate children on different aspects of bicycle safety.

The children were able to sign their “official bicycle license,” participate in games – including Stop, Slow, Go; Twisting through Cones; and Water Balloon Smash – and enjoy some pizza, water, and cookies.

Venango County Sheriff’s Department and members of RAACA helped repair any bicycles needing attention and provided helmets to anyone in need.

RAACA of Venango County is a non-profit organization that raises awareness and funds to help support Venango County residents and agencies in an effort that will benefit the children of our community. They raise funds through different events they host throughout the year.

Anyone who is interested in more information about RAACA or becoming a member (motorcycle ownership is not required) can contact raacavenango@yahoo.com or on their Facebook page, RAACA Venango PA.

Monthly meetings are held on the fourth Sunday of every month. This month’s meeting is Sunday, June 27, at 6:30 p.m. at Last Call Tavern, 297 Duncomb Street, Oil City. As always, meetings are open to the public and RAACA welcomes everyone to join them.
