According to a published article on wpxi.com, a farmer discovered the body of Melissa “Missy” Barto along Old Pulaski Road on Monday evening.

State Police Lt. Eric Hermick told wpxi.com that it was a “horrific scene,” and the body had been burned.

Barto was reported missing on Thursday when she failed to show up to her daughter’s kindergarten graduation, according to Lt. Hermick.

Police say Ishemer Ramsey, Barto’s boyfriend, was charged with homicide on Sunday. When police pulled Ramsey over, they found significant damage to the interior of his vehicle and a bullet that had pierced the door panel.

A second suspect, James George, is in custody and expected to be charged with conspiracy and abuse of a corpse.

More arrests in this case are expected in the coming days, according to Lt. Hermick.
