Borough Police Chief Mark Hall says police have identified a ‘person of interest’ following an investigation into a bomb threat made around 3:45 p.m. at the school.

The threat was made in the form of a hand-written note and was discovered by a school employee, according to Chief Hall.

Chief Hall says the school was immediately placed on lockdown and students and faculty who were in the building for extra-curricular activities were evacuated.

Law enforcement remained on the scene for several hours to search the premises; however, the threat turned out to be a hoax.

No further information was released on the person of interest.

Chief Hall says the investigation is ongoing.
