RIMERSBURG, Pa. (EYT) – State police are investigating the death of a female infant in the Rimersburg area.

State police said a one-month-old was found deceased at her residence in Rimersburg on Friday.

Southern Clarion County Ambulance was initially summoned to the scene and transported the victim to the Clarion Hospital.

Clarion County District Attorney Mark Aaron and Clarion County Coroner Terry Shaffer were both on the scene.

Authorities haven’t yet indicated if foul play is suspected.

Cause of death is pending investigation.

The baby’s identity has not yet been released.
