Authorities Searching for Child Rape Suspect

garrick-bloomSHIPPENVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – Clarion-based State Police are asking for the public’s help locating a Shippenville man wanted on 865 felony charges in a child rape case.

Police said a warrant has been issued for the arrest of 46-year-old Garrick Landon Bloom.

Tpr. Norbert filed the following charges against Bloom on Jan. 16 at Magisterial District Judge Amy Long Turk’s office:

  • Rape of a Child, Felony 1 (216 counts)
  • Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse with a Child, Felony 1 (216 counts)
  • Aggravated Indecent Assault of Child, Felony 1 (216 counts)
  • Statutory Sexual Assault, Felony 2 (216 counts)
  • Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Felony 3

The charges stem from multiple incidents that occurred in Shippenville Borough dating back to 2007.

Bloom (pictured above) is described as a white male, 5’5″ tall, and weighing 300 lbs. with brown hair and blue eyes. He wears eye glasses.
