UPDATE: Police Release Names of Individuals Charged with Alleged Drug Trafficking

| April 20, 2013

CLARION, Pa. (EYT) – According to authorities, arrest warrants were issued for 12 people Friday morning in connection with alleged trafficking of cocaine, marijuana, LSD, suboxone, and “mushrooms.”

As the culmination of an eight-month investigation, Friday morning the Clarion Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET) and the Armstrong Narcotics Enforcement Team (ARMNET) began executing arrest warrants for 12 individuals from the Southern Clarion County and Northern Armstrong County areas.

According to Clarion County District Attorney Mark Aaron, the individuals are allegedly involved in street-level and mid-level trafficking of cocaine, marijuana, LSD, suboxone, and “mushrooms.”

“This effort, from my view, shows what can be done when local law enforcement authorities are willing and able to work together. There has been a lot of jurisdictional issues, turf issues, that have all been put aside by both sides, both counties, to insure that we are doing a good job of drug interdiction in this area of Western Pa.,” stated Aaron in a Press Conference on Friday afternoon.

Armstrong County District Attorney, Scott Andreassi, emphasized that “At the end of the day, bad guys and drugs don’t stop at county lines, and that is what today’s operation was all about. It’s a testament to CNET, to ARNET, to Mark and his office, that this operation went off without a hitch.…It was a good day for the good guys. Everybody came back safely.”

Andreassi continued, “What it says to those people who want to deal and do drugs is that jurisdictional lines don’t matter. We are going to go across county lines; we are going to cooperate with each other; we are going to use resources wherever we have to use them, and at the end of the day, we are going to get you no matter where you happen to be.”
