Charges Pending Following California to Franklin Postal Mail Drug Trafficking Bust

FRANKLIN, Pa. – On Friday, October 11, in the morning and afternoon hours, officers from the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General Northwest Counter Drug Task Force, consisting of City of Franklin Police Department; Oil City Police Department; United State Postal Inspectors; and U.S. Border Patrol Air and Marine Unit executed numerous search warrants throughout the Franklin area.

In coordination there was the execution of simultaneous warrants in California by authorities which resulted from the Venango County Investigation.

This stemmed from an intensive four month investigation by City of Franklin Police, Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General Drug Task Force Officers in conjunction with United State Postal inspectors.

It is believed that this operation interrupted the flow of thousands of dollars of cash and pounds of illegal narcotics per month being trafficked throughout the Venango County area from California.

As a result, financial assets, property, vehicles, and weapons were seized.

There are numerous felony indictments pending on numerous suspects.
