UPDATE: Interstate 80 in Venango County Reopens Following Accidents

VENANGO COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) — A portion of Interstate 80 in Venango County was closed due to multiple accidents.

According to a release issued by PennDOT press officer Jim Carroll, Interstate 80 eastbound and westbound were closed between Exit 19 (interchange with Interstate 79) in Mercer County and Exit 29, (Barkeyville, Route 8) in Venango County.

All lanes are now open.

Specific details on the accidents have not yet been released.

Treacherous road conditions are being reported throughout the region due to snowfall on Saturday afternoon.

In neighboring Clarion County, a portion of State Route 68 was shut down due to a two-vehicle accident with injuries.
