Emlenton Man Killed in Shippenville Industrial Accident

SHIPPENVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – A 56-year-old Emlenton man was killed in an industrial accident at Clarion Boards in Shippenville this morning.

Clarion-based State Police say they are investigating a fatal industrial accident that occurred at Clarion Boards on River Hill in Shippenville some time between 9:45 a.m. and 10:10 a.m.

Police say 56-year-old Kenneth Nichols, of Emlenton, was killed while working on a piece of machinery.

Nichols was pronounced dead on scene by Clarion County Coroner Terry Shaffer at 11:25 a.m.

Police list the nature of the incident as accidental.

Clarion Hospital EMS assisted at the scene.
