FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — Charges were filed against a Franklin man today after he allegedly attempted to force sexual contact on a juvenile.
Court documents indicate the Franklin Police Department filed the following charges against 29-year-old Warren Jesse Washington, of Franklin, on October 8:
– Criminal Attempt — Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse Person Less Than 16 Years Age, Felony 1 (two counts)
– Unlawful Contact With Minor — Sexual Offenses, Felony 1 (two counts)
– False Imprisonment of Minor/Not Parent, Felony 2
– Corruption Of Minors — Defendant Age 18 or Above, Felony 3
– Indecent Assault Person Less 16 Yrs Age, Misdemeanor
The above charges are the result of an alleged incident that occurred in Franklin on Sunday evening, October 6, involving Warren Washington.
According to a criminal complaint filed by Patrolman Gilchrist, of the Franklin Police Department, around 9:53 p.m. on Sunday, October 6, he was dispatched for a complaint of a sexual assault. He spoke to a known male juvenile victim and his mother.
According to the complaint, it was reported to Patrolman Gilchrist that around 8:30 p.m., the juvenile victim entered an apartment with Warren Jesse Washington, and once they were inside the apartment, Washington allegedly attempted to force the victim to “perform numerous variations of unwanted sexual acts.”
The victim reported that he attempted to leave the residence, but Washington held him against his will in an upstairs bedroom “until physical sexual contact was made,” the complaint indicates.
The charges were filed through Magisterial District Judge Matthew T. Kirtland’s office on October 8.
A preliminary hearing for the case has not yet been scheduled.
