UPDATE: Grandview Road Reopened After Vehicle Slams Into Utility Pole
CORNPLANTER TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A portion of Grandview Road in Cornplanter Township that was closed earlier today due to a vehicle accident has been reopened.
According to a Venango County 9-1-1 dispatcher, the accident occurred Wednesday morning when a vehicle struck a utility pole along Grandview Road near its intersection with Oak Road.
The dispatcher said Cornplanter Volunteer Fire Department requested PennDOT to close Grandview Road because of downed wires on the roadway.
Verizon was dispatched to the scene to remove the wires. Some Verizon residents in the area experienced outages as a result of the accident.
No additional details are available at this time.
Police are expected to release additional information within the next 48 hours.
