Man Airlifted to Hospital After Car Collides with Tree in Venango County

PINEGROVE TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A local man was flown to an Erie-area hospital following a single-vehicle crash Thursday night in Pinegrove Township, Venango County.

Franklin-based State Police Tpr. Young said the accident happened around 7:46 p.m. on State Route 157 just east of Dutch Road.

According to Tpr. Young, 25-year-old Blake M. Masemer, of Tionesta, was traveling east on State Route 157 when, for unknown reasons, his 2004 Chevrolet Impala exited the roadway and collided with a tree near the westbound lane.

STAT MedEvac flew Masemer to UPMC Hamot in Erie for treatment of unknown injuries.

Pinegrove VFD and Minich’s Towing also assisted at the scene.
