JACKSON TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A local man was killed after his motorcycle collided with a deer in Jackson Township, Venango County, last night.
According to sources, Francis Joseph Slater, 49, of Rocky Grove, was traveling on Bradleytown Road shortly before 8:00 p.m. when his motorcycle collided with a deer.
He was subsequently flown to a nearby hospital by Stat MedEvac to UPMC Hamot in Erie.
Erie County Deputy Coroner Dennis Suscheck confirmed that Mr. Slater was pronounced dead at 9:52 p.m. due to multiple injuries.
