CLARION, Pa. (EYT) — A Knox woman who went missing on January 23 was found dead Thursday.

34-year-old Misty Dawn Cain — who is originally from the Punxsutawney area — was found deceased on Thursday in the area of East State Street in Knox Borough.

Clarion-based State Police Tpr. Hotchkiss said Cain had last been seen on January 23 around 10:00 p.m in the area of Mendenhall Avenue.

A representative with Clarion-based State Police told exploreClarion.com that an initial investigation did not reveal any suspicious circumstances.

The case remains under investigation.
